Mr. Allison served in a variety of executive positions with healthcare and healthcare related companies in his nearly 33-year career in healthcare. Most recently, he was President & Chief Executive Officer of Correctional Healthcare Companies, having joined that company after serving as the President and Chief Executive Officer of CCS Medical. Prior to CCS Medical, Mr. Allison served as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Odyssey Healthcare, Inc., which was a provider of hospice services and a publicly traded NASDAQ company prior to its August 2010 acquisition by Gentiva Health Services, Inc. Mr. Allison was also Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Omniflight, Inc., a privately held operator of aviation support services to the healthcare industry; Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Ardent Health Services LLC, a privately held operator of acute care and behavioral care hospitals; and Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer of Renal Care Group, Inc., a publicly traded operator of dialysis centers. Mr. Allison earned his MBA at the University of Dallas and his BBA at the University of Louisiana at Monroe (formerly Northeast Louisiana University) and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Executive Vice PresidentChief Operating OfficerBrad Bickham became Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Addus HomeCare in January 2017. Mr. Bickham has served in a variety of senior leadership roles in both public and private healthcare companies over the past 14 years, following tenures in the legal and accounting fields. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for United Surgical Partners International, the nation’s largest ambulatory surgery provider. Previously, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for a number of firms, including Correctional Healthcare Companies and CCS Medical. He also served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Odyssey HealthCare through its acquisition by Gentiva Health Services in 2010. Before joining Odyssey, he was an Associate with the law firm of Vinson & Elkins. Mr. Bickham earned his J.D. degree and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Louisiana State University. He practiced public accounting for seven years prior to attending law school.
Executive Vice PresidentChief Financial OfficerBrian Poff became Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in May 2016. Mr. Poff has served in a number of financial positions in both public and private healthcare companies for the past 16 years. Most recently, he was Chief Financial Officer of Oceans Healthcare. Prior to Oceans, Mr. Poff served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer for CCS Medical, one of the nation’s largest providers of mail order diabetic supplies. Before CCS Medical, Mr. Poff served as the Corporate Controller for AccentCare, Inc., one of the nation’s leading providers of home health services. Mr. Poff also held the position of Division Chief Financial Officer – Hospice Services for Gentiva Health Services, a $2 billion provider of home health and hospice services and as Assistant Controller for Odyssey HealthCare, Inc., a $700 million hospice provider. Before working with Odyssey, he was Controller for Horizon Health Corporation until its buyout from Psychiatric Solutions, Inc., when he was elevated to the role of Division CFO. Mr. Poff earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Sam Houston State University.
Executive Vice PresidentChief Legal OfficerSean Gaffney became Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Addus HomeCare in April, 2019. Immediately prior to joining Addus, Mr. Gaffney served as General Counsel at Encompass Health – Home Health & Hospice, the fourth largest U.S. provider of skilled home care services. Before Encompass, he was Executive Vice President of Corporate Development, General Counsel and Secretary of BroadJump, LLC, a software start-up producing innovative hospital cost-reduction technology. Mr. Gaffney earned his law degree from Boston University School of Law where he was a G. Joseph Tauro Scholar and served as managing editor of the Boston University International Law Journal. Mr. Gaffney received his Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Dallas.
Executive Vice PresidentChief Strategy OfficerDarby Anderson serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for Addus HomeCare. Mr. Anderson served as Senior Vice President at Addus HomeCare until December 2014. Mr. Anderson joined Addus HomeCare in 1996 as its Midwest Regional Manager until 2000. In 2000, Darby became Regional Vice President of Midwest/East. Mr. Anderson has also been appointed or elected to board and advisory committee positions, including the Older Adult Services Advisory Committee and the Community Care Program Advisory Committee in Illinois. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University.
Executive Vice PresidentChief Human Resource OfficerLaurie Manning joined Addus HomeCare as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer in August 2017. Ms. Manning has served in a number of human resource roles for healthcare companies over the past 23 years. Most recently, she was Vice President of Human Resources for Epic Health Services, a private home health company. For the previous 17 years, she was with Concentra, a national health care company, where she served in increasingly important HR positions, most recently as Vice President. Ms. Manning’s professional certifications include SPHR (Senior Professional Human Resources) and SHRM-SCP (Society for Human Resource Management-Senior Certified Professional). She earned a master’s degree in leadership from Norwich University in Vermont and a bachelor’s from Bellevue University in Nebraska.
Executive Vice PresidentChief Information OfficerMike Wattenbarger joined Addus Homecare as Vice President of Information Technology in April 2018. Mr. Wattenbarger has over 20 years of experience in information technology leadership, consulting, and operations. Immediately prior to joining Addus, Mr. Wattenbarger served as Chief Information Officer for LifeCare Management Services, with responsibility for all information technology-related projects and operations for 24 specialty acute care hospitals and 11 home health agencies in 16 markets across the United States. Mr. Wattenbarger has a B.A. in Liberal Arts and a Master of Science – Computer Systems Technology from Louisiana State University at Shreveport.
