“We were very fortunate to be able to hire an Addus Home Care Aide who swept in from the heavens and became my Dad’s close companion, caregiver and friend.”Gary Q. Salem, OR
Addus accepts reimbursement from a large group of payers. These include Medicare, Medicaid programs, Veterans Benefits, other government programs and Long-Term Care Insurance. We also accept private pay.
Our goal is to provide you with peace of mind and simplify the process. We have reimbursement specialists who can handle the paperwork, ensure that you qualify, contact your payor to determine level of coverage and then bill appropriately and directly on your behalf.
There are many different Medicaid programs available. These include programs that support the needs of individuals meeting financial eligibility criteria, as well as those designed to serve the needs of patients with special needs. Our Admissions Team can work directly with your family and referral source to determine the various programs that might be available in your area.
The Veterans Aid and Attendance Pension Benefit, provided by the Veterans Administration, offers benefits for veterans and surviving spouses who require assistance with activities of daily living. Addus can work with you to determine eligibility of these pension benefits.
Long-Term Care Insurance pays for the treatment of ailing individuals who need medical care over an extended period. It can help you cover the cost of in-home assistance, adult day care, assisted living services or nursing home care. LTC can also protect your family’s financial future, as well as your investments and savings. An LTC policy is a separate health insurance policy that requires monthly premiums, and policies and benefits can vary by payer. To ensure your insurance covers Home Health, please contact us so that we may verify coverage limitations.
Addus works with clients and their families to provide home care services on a private pay, or self-pay, basis. Sometimes, private pay becomes necessary for services that are not covered by insurances, a third party payer source or Medicaid. private pay services can be customized to meet your family’s needs.
Medicare covers medically necessary home health care on a limited basis. If you do qualify for skilled home health care under Medicare, then you may also qualify for a Home Health Aide to attend to personal care services.
