In-home services are personal care and other services provided by our paraprofessional staff, allowing our consumers to live safely and independently in the comfort of their own homes. These services provide consumers on-going assistance with activities of daily living, which may include bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, housekeeping and errands.

SUMMARY:

The Regional Director is responsible for the overall operations of branches, ensuring that all in-home support client services are delivered in a safe, efficient and effective manner, in accordance with established quality standards and applicable state and federal regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly responsible for the supervision and management of the region's Agency and Branch Directors in their respective branches’ operations.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the region's objectives, strategies and initiatives for client census/revenue growth and business development.
  • Oversee the region's recruitment, orientation and staff education programs. Facilitate the development and implementation of appropriate changes/enhancements to improve their effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with contract specifications, company policies and state and federal regulations. Oversee the conduct of contractor audits and the implementation of any required plans of correction.
  • Coordinate and participate in the preparation of the branches' annual budgets. Monitor the branches' performance against established census/revenue, as well as expense and financial targets. Direct the implementation of appropriate corrective actions to address problem areas and/or negative trends.
  • Participate in the company’s advocacy program to educate and favorably influence legislators and other elected officials in Congress and state government to the benefits of in-home care services, reimbursement rates and program funding.
  • Manage positive working relationships with Union partners representing HomeCare Aide employees. Implement business development initiatives through coordination with Union representatives and lead team in negotiations of local collective bargaining agreements.

As the Agency Director of our Home & Community Services branch, you will:

As an Addus Community Care Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise and direct activities of HomeCare Aides (HCA) in providing direct care and service to their assigned clients. Address and resolve all related client and employee complaints and concerns (client caseload within a range of 150 to 200 clients).
  • Effectively manage the communication and relationships among the Care Team, including the client, referral sources, HCAs and family and health care providers, to coordinate patient care and services, as well as the involvement of interdisciplinary care plan teams for client caseload.
  • Perform in-home visits to clients at specified frequencies, focusing on welcoming new clients, quality assurance, client health and well-being and overall service and satisfaction.
  • Assess, triage and respond to all change in client health condition reports from HCAs and facilitate referrals to internal and external services to ensure supportive care at home.
  • In partnership with the Agency Director, hire and train HCAs and provide feedback on performance. Provide direction to the centralized scheduling staff when recommending the most appropriate assignments of direct care staff to clients. In conjunction with the Agency Director, coordinate disciplinary actions and termination decisions.
  • Lead orientation, pre-service and in-service training, as assigned.
  • Develop and manage the professional relationships with case managers, social workers or other assessment and care plan authorizing staff within government entities or third party health plans, Managed Care Organizations and other entities to maximize home care service provided to clients.
  • Understand and effectively execute all company, state and applicable CBA policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Participate in community outreach and educational events.

As an Addus HomeCare Aide, you will:

  • Follow a care plan for the client and report on completed tasks.
  • Assist with personal care (e.g., bathing or dressing).
  • Provide routine house cleaning, including laundry.
  • Assist with meal preparation.
  • Transport client to doctor’s office, grocery store and other essential errands.
  • Assist client with the self-administration of medications (no administering or measuring).
  • As part of the client’s Care Team, a HomeCare Aide must observe and report any changes in client’s condition.
